December-Christmas Season

December was crazy for us, but we had a lot of fun. Santa Claus found us a week early at Grandma and Papas. Thanks to Papa's friend. Gordon used to dress up and than my dad. But our kids have gotten smarter and the last time Papa dressed up it was almost out of the bag.

Nate was a fan

Ellie was not
Nor was Hayleigh at this age.

Um...I hope Nessa gets what she asks for. Come on Josh!

Since I was on bedrest My mom and her friend Jeanette came over and decorated our house for us. The only thing we were missing was our tree. Our first photo as a family of 8.

Christmas Eve we spent with Sam's family and Christmas Day with mine. It is nice having both families here, but it can get a little busy

The kids put on their annual Nativity play
Caden was a shepherd and Gordon was the sheep and the donkey

Caleb was Joseph and the little man played Jesus

Hayleigh was a wise man or Wise Women

Ellie was suppose to be an Angel, but this is the one and only min she wore her costume.
After we got home we did our own family traditions. The kids made cookies for Santa and put out the reindeer food.

And than the opened their presents from each other and their new pjs. Sam and I started having them draw names for each other last year. WE have learned we have to have them shop on Christmas eve because if they do it any earlier they tell each other.

Our Annual picture. My Dad's family did this and my family did it where we lined up from oldest to youngest to come down the stairs. You can see they are trying to act happy about taking the dumb picture instead of getting to their presents.

Mr Cade has wanted this Dinosaur D-Rex for 2 years now. He has asked for it from everyone. Santa found an awesome deal from Cyper Monday.

Baby Nate in his Christmas outfit. He is missing his shoes, um who took them.

Ellie decided she needed to wear them. But I do want to know who makes a newborn out fit with shoes that fit a 19 month old.

Tjay and Robin showing off some of the awesome stuff we got from Mom and Dad. My parents got us stuff to finish off our 72 hour kits. The can is an home made heater. It is the coolest thing. My mom did a little demo before dinner showing us. That was the best part. Sam's parents got us some cool stuff to for emergency too.

Thank you for sharing your pictures. We really did have a good Christmas this year. The pictures of the kids are so cute. I am proud to be one of their grandma's.
